The Story Chip Thanksgiving in Taos has two audio files on the page where you would expect to see the text of the story. Instead, there is a simple play button that plays the mp3 of the author telling the story of his family's trip to New Mexico for Thanksgiving.
We hope that these will the be the first of many audio files that grace the pages of Story Chip. Our next plan is to create a toll free telephone number that will allow authors and contributors the chance to tell their stories over the telephone for uploading later. There are still kinks to work out in making this real and we would be interested in hearing from our visitors about how we can make this accessible. Also, if you or someone you know has a collection of recorded stories, contact us so that we can make those stories a part of our interactive history.
For now, Story Chip has passed another milestone in its growth.
